The nomination period for the Kajaani University of Applied Sciences Student Union Student Council election has closed, and at its meeting on Thursday the 8th of October 2026, the Central Election Committee approved the candidates and electoral alliances, assigned ballot numbers and finalised the list of candidates for the election. There are 26 candidates standing for election. The candidates represent two (2) electoral alliances and those not affiliated with any alliance.
Advance voting will take place via an online ballot from 9.00am on Wednesday the 28th of October 2026 until 11.59pm on Friday the 30th of October 2026. A link to the online advance voting system will be sent to members’ official KAMK email addresses by the start of the advance voting period. The right to vote may only be exercised once. Those who have voted in advance will be recorded on the electoral roll for the main election day.
The Student Council election will take place on Wednesday the 4th of November 2026 from 10.00am to 1.00pm. Voting will be by paper ballot. On the actual polling day, all students will vote in the MÄNTY building, at Kuntokatu 5, in the lobby of the KAMO office (lobby by Door A).
