Hello, KAMK student! Become a member and receive an
official student ID card as proof of your membership!
You can purchase a membership for a single semester,
an academic year, or for the entire duration of your studies.
The longer your membership, the more you save, as each purchase includes a
service fee, so fewer purchases mean more savings.
The price includes a digital student ID card and the
membership fee for the period you select. You can also order a physical student
ID card, which will be equipped with a sticker indicating the academic year or
semester of validity. Just remember to pick up a new sticker when your
membership continues into the next academic year! If you opt for a digital
student ID card only, your membership will be automatically renewed once you
pay the membership fee for multiple academic years at once.
Becoming a member
To become a member, you must be a currently enrolled student at Kajaani University of Applied Sciences. Please review the eligibility requirements before joining.
If you have just started your studies, you can order a student ID card only after you have received your KAMK login credentials. We use these credentials to verify your student status at Kajaani University of Applied Sciences.

Path studies & exchange students
Pathway students can also become members and will receive a green membership card in the Slice.fi app for the duration of their pathway studies. KAMO membership costs 22,00 – 30,00 euros, depending on whether you choose a semester or academic year membership. The price includes the digital membership card and the membership fee.

Joining is simple and will take only 10 minutes of your time. Please follow the instructions below:
1. Make sure you have a clear digital photo of yourself in JPG format where you are easily recognizable. The photo must be a headshot (passport-style) taken against a light background, showing your face clearly from the front. You may wear glasses in the student ID photo, but sunglasses are not allowed. 2. To sign up, you’ll need your personal student ID number. You can find your student ID number via Student’s Desktop Pakki. Bring your mouse on top of your name on the front page, which will pop out a menu and you will see your student number below ENTITLEMENTS. Tip! You can find the number from Tuudo, below the QR code.
3. Create an account in Kide.app webshop. You can either create a separate account or log in using your Facebook account. We recommend you to download the Kide.app application on your phone, as we use it for other services as well.
4. Search KAMO’s membership in Kide.app either typing KAMO membership in the search field or using this link.
5. Select
the membership period that suits you and add the product to your cart using
the shopping cart icon. The membership
fee you select includes only the digital student ID. If you also want a
physical student ID, be sure to add it separately to your cart. Fill in the
requested information and pay for your purchase.

After you have paid for your purchase, your active membership will appear in
the “Your Membership Card” section of the Wallet page. The digital
card can be activated a few hours after purchase at slice.fi/upload.

If you order a
physical student ID card, you will receive a pickup notification at your school
email address when the card is ready for pickup. You can pick up your student
ID card at Kaffé Tauko or have it mailed to you when placing your order.
Delivery of the student ID card takes 2 – 3 weeks.
Membership periods
If you plan to
graduate earlier than the target date, it’s best to pay for membership only for
the period you are certain to be studying at KAMK.
You can join
at any point during the current semester, but the price for that semester is
always the same regardless of when you join.

A multi-year
membership is more affordable than purchasing a membership one semester at a
time. The savings have been calculated by comparing the total price to what you
would pay if you purchased a membership one semester at a time.
Physical UAS Student ID Card
Starting in
the fall semester of 2026, the physical card will no longer be automatically
included with your membership. You can purchase a physical card for the low
price of €10. The physical student ID card is valid for the duration of your
studies (provided your information does not change); just remember to pick up a
new sticker when your membership renews for the following academic year!

recommend a physical student card?
A physical
student card doesn’t require a battery or an internet connection, so it works
even in a pinch and is valid even abroad! Just remember to pick up a new
sticker when your membership renews for the next academic year!
