The nomination of candidates for the Student Council of Student Union of Kajaani University of Applied Sciences has ended and the Central Election Commission has approved the candidates, the electoral alliances, voting numbers and confirmed the list of candidates in its meeting on 12th of October 2023. There are 23 candidates standing for election. The candidates represent five (5) electoral alliances and those not affiliated to an electoral alliance. Introductions of candidates will be published on KAMO´s website on Tuesday the 24th of October 2023.
The working language of the Student Council is Finnish. For this reason, standing for election has been marketed only in Finnish.
Absentee voting will take place by electronic voting from 1st of November 2023 at 8.00am to 3rd of November 2023 at 11.59pm. The link to the electronic advance voting will be sent to the official KAMK e-mail of the members by the beginning of the advance voting. The right to vote can only be exercised once. Absentee voters will be removed from the voting list on the day of the actual election.
The election will take place on Wednesday the 8th of November 2023 between 10.00am and 2.00pm. Voting will be by paper ballot. On the actual voting day, all students vote in the TIETO 1 building, Ketunpolku 1, at Kaffé Tauko.
All members of the Student Union KAMO, who have paid their membership fees and registered as students by the time voting begins are entitled to vote in the election.
